Just a Mom and Her Hobby

Hello, my name is Kristy Brooks. I started Skylar's Sweets about 2 years ago after some convincing from my husband and friends that I've made sweets for. I work full time during the week and manage Skylar's sweets all other hours of the day/week. While I would love to take credit for all the work, I have a wonderful supportive husband/assistant/official taste tester Andrew along with our son Carson and daughter Skylar that help out when needed.

As you've probably noticed, Skylar's Sweets is named after our daughter. No it isn't because I like her better, the goal was to help off-set cost associated with Skylar's passion for dance. She has been dancing competitively since she was 7, so about 4 years. As any other dance mom would know, the older they get and the more dances they are in, the more expensive it gets.

I love to plan events and help friends/family have the party they want. Skylar's Sweets gives me the opportunity to help not only those I know but others celebrate their big moments like graduations, birthdays, weddings and retirements.

During the summer, you will find us at local farmer's markets and festivals. We are always taking orders and adding to our menu. We thank each and every one of our customers for your support.
